Super delicious breakfast, friendly staff

Nice café right on the market square in Marburg, good atmosphere, the service is usually quick, sometimes there are difficulties that is because of who is serving. Good cake, very nice little things like apple strudel and Kaiserschmarren, soups and the like, always very friendly wait staff, I would be happy to recommend them

We waited 30 minutes to order and another 30 minutes to get our drinks, unfortunately the coffee was already cold. Inside there was a lot of staff at the counter and outside there was only 1 employee, although outside it was much busier, he could hardly keep up with the service, which is understandable with the rush. Good location but unfortunately too long waiting time.

The café is in a very nice location. Latte macchiato with oat milk tastes burnt. And you have to wait half an hour to pay.

Loved the blueberry cheesecake (thus, quantity could be a little more haha) and also the not-too-sweet vanilla milkshake :)

A star for the location with a view of the town hall. How to make an espresso doppio without crema is a complete mystery to me. And that you are asked whether you want sugar and then, despite a clear yes, get none and then have to get it yourself when the drink gets cold, is also not a good service. The crowning glory is that the waitress leaves the long-filled guest registration slip on the table when you have already paid and the next guests are already seated. Clear violation of the GDPR. We are back again and have taken our note with us. That is probably not in the spirit of the inventor of the hygiene concept in Hesse.

The Café am Rathaus impresses with its good location at the historic town hall and with its food and drink selection. In addition, the service offers you an (involuntarily funny) "sinking ships". You are happy with the waiters when the coffee arrives at the first hit where it belongs.

Zuuuuu waited a long time for the waitress who was not particularly friendly in the end ... My ice was already melted when it arrived.

Never again! Too bad, but I've never been so dissatisfied. We had to wait almost 1 hour until we had our breakfast. We got rolls that are not through, an orange juice 200ml for 2.90 € and then that's the cheap from Edeka! The sausage is cheap and all for so much money. I went hungry when I came and then everything should cost € 19.20. To pay I gave a € 20 bill, which the cashier plugged in directly and said goodbye. There was no question of tipping! Well, all in all, it took too long, didn't taste good and was far too expensive.

It was not planned to have a drink in the café at the market but the work colleagues had asked for it because we were only on an excursion it was very nice optically and I have to say love full service I will continue in the future if I find my way back to Marburg leads there drinking a tea I can only recommend my favorite there the Supreme / Superior Earl Gray In terms of taste it is a very good Earl Gray tea served there so all in all I only rate the appearance and the tea and I give it 4/5 Stars might convince me next time of 5/5 stars but we'll see that then Best regards Mr. Koldas

Delicious dishes and Drinks, great service. A café with know-how! 👍 We were guests on Sunday 21.06.2020 in the Café am Markt in the upper town of Marburg! Apart from the fact that the café is in a great location, the service was very friendly and courteous! Despite the crowds in the café, we felt very comfortable and noticed. After we got a table outside, we decided to try an "Avocado Chickenburger + Side Salad" recommended by the current summer offer for € 8.90 and "Bruschetta" for € 6.50. The burger and the side salad were very well presented! I personally have often had the experience that the dressing saves money on the salad, but I really have to say that it was very different in the Café an Markt! There the dressing was really well proportioned, I would like to emphasize that again! Excellent! I think the price for this is reasonable! The bruschetta was super lovingly arranged and tasted really good. The bread, well made. All dishes tasted great, praise to the kitchen! :-) Café am Markt..Look at the market square and the town hall, which invites you to relax. Dedicated team, despite stressful corona times. Diverse selection of drinks, dishes and of course cakes! Definitely ! RECOMMENDATION !

We ordered the cheese breakfast twice for € 9.90 each. + Great location right on the market square + Friendly and nice staff - The cheese was the cheapest standard cheese or tasted just like it - Loveless arrangement. - There wasn't even an egg cup for the breakfast egg - The two fried eggs were black on the underside My conclusion: Better go to another cafe and enjoy life

I personally didn't like the cafe. The ice cream "hot Marie" honestly what were those raspberries. You could have thickened it. It was like soup.

Cozy and gorgeous cafe! We were very happy with the atmosphere, attention and taste! Had no problems paying with an international Visa card. Will definitely come back!

Nice service, fast service and delicious cake. The atmosphere and the decoration I liked. I will gladly come again.

Good coffee and ice-cream, nice atmosphere, quick service but only three stars because they only accept German payment card's, and do not accept foreign Visa or MasterCard. In a city with many tourists, they should accept this.

Normal cafe overlooking the square. If there is no space left at the windows, then you can go to the back room, where it is usually free. The service is good. Tea waffles are good. In winter, it was very nice to eat hot soup - Hackfleisch-Lauch-Suppe. The price is at an average level, not higher than in neighboring establishments. There is also an updated menu with special dishes - I also recommend trying it.

Came on month of June, the foods taste normal, ordered two lunch menu and hot chocolate; Not really friendly with foreigner and only one waitress working. Further down the road, I saw another cafe bakery with more variety, I think that looks better.

They were not busy, 3 patrons seated and already served. Walked in picked a cake and sat down, with 2 waitresses stairing on, one continually making eye contact but then wandering into the back and wandering back out , it was obvious they didnt want to serve anyone and are obviously not paying the rent otherwise theyd have some sense of urgency. Waited 15 minutes before standing up and waltzing out with the waitresses looking satisfied to have scared away business. Wouldnt recommend even if you were dying of thirst or stuck in a Tornado. Restmüll.

Don't recommend this! Bad and rude service. Went there for breakfast and waited for ages to be served then they forgot to bring part of the order and also never checked on us if we would like anything else but left us sitting there with a table full of finished plates. We then were treated poorly by arrogant staff who gave us attitude rather than apologising for their incompetence. Breakfast was average, there are definitely lots of better places in Marburg.We won't be visiting this place again! Checking the reviews we are not the only people complaining about the poor service....
